Before we begin speaking about rituals BDSM involves we should first of all define what a ritual is.
Ritual is a formal, recurrent ceremony. In other words a ritual is consequence of some certain actions you intentionally repeat again and again. Actually rituals are intended to be repeated.
BDSM rituals as well as all others include a certain consequence of actions performed either by Dominant or by the submissive in particular situations such as greeting, going to bed, getting ready for sex, and others. Besides actions BDSM rituals often include various BDSM toys - handcuffs, flogs, blinfolders and others - everything depends on partner's preferences.
What is good about BDSM rituals?
Rituals are pleasant for both participants
Rituals help to easily pass from everyday relationships to relationships between a Dom and a Sub
Rituals help to avoid some other, less pleasant actions aimed at achieving the same purpose, that is to become a Top and a Bottom
Rituals create atmosphere of intimacy and help both partners become closer to each other.
Rituals make both partners feel more comfortable. When beginning to perform a ritual a person feels calm and comfortable as he or she is aware of the purpose of the ritual and of means this purpose is going to be achieved with.

Thank You, it seems in the last few weeks, I have been overwhelmed with sessions that involve rituals. My feelings are every thing I do as a Dom is a ritual. Just as You Explained. Thank You
